Heya, I’m Aaron Bell
I love keeping myself busy – so when I’m not running, climbing walls, or playing Pokemon, I tend to be taking photos or doodling. Combined with my love of fiddling around in excel and Commerce Degree – I figured I may as well share what I do!
Art
Unlike Photography – I’ve pretty much always done art.
Have I ever been very good at it? No.
I know what I am – and that’s not a talented artist, but I enjoy it, so I play to my strengths and tend to draw simple, low complexity, cartoony designs.
All the art I do is digital on my Wacom tablet – I am at the point where I really don’t bother dabbling with traditional materials because I’m terrible at it. Although I love watercolour and occasionally try to replicate it digitally.
Photography
Photography is a hobby that I wish I had invested in sooner. I always knew it interested me – but I never pursued it.
It didn’t take long for me to decide on my focus being bird photography. I love wildlife – and here in little New Zealand, birds are plentiful.
I also do volunteer photography for sports and other events around Christchurch (primarily Handball) – so feel free to get in touch if you want a photographer for some local sport/event.
